Why has school and getting a degree become so necessary? Especially when getting a job regardless is impossible. Why are we expected to become so overwhelmed in debt just to have a paper that says we spent too much time in school, when reality I have really learned much at school and have felt after many a class that my time was surely wasted.
I miss the days when you trained under someone as an apprentice and learned by doing instead of reading and sitting in a chair all day long listening to someone talk.
I am a hands on learner and I am not good at school at all. Try as I might school is just not my 'thing' and it has become very discouraging as this is what is expected of people now.
The world revolves around the notion that you graduate high school, go to college, get married, buy a house, and have kids. Don't get me wrong that all sounds great, but not everyone is going to follow that routine and should we be expected to?
I'll leave you with this thought: Instead of fulfilling the above, find and do what makes you happy, not what others thinks makes you happy. It's your life not there's.
